Announcing our investment in West Lafayette, IN-based Aerovy.

Aerovy is based in West Lafayette, IN.

Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOLs)—think e-taxis—are leading the charge on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). Instead of combustion engines, eVTOLs use electric motors and can hover or fly vertically and horizontally (Some might say they’re *really taking off*). However, the significant energy demands and infrastructure necessities of AAM have been under-addressed until now. Aerovy Mobility offers AAM stakeholders a robust solution for real-time energy management. Their core VEMS solution aggregates energy data, empowering efficient recharging, grid storage, and resale between operators. Aerovy also aids AAM’s early growth through AATLAS, evaluating vertiport locations and energy needs.

Aerovy is led by founder Nick Gunady, a current PhD candidate at Purdue University’s School of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

“We could not be more excited to join Nick Gunady and the Aerovy team on their exciting journey to enable the future of mobility. After many conversations with the team, as well as elite industry experts abroad, it is clear that Aerovy has unique technology with full potential to be a core component of the next wave of transportation infrastructure. As a Purdue alumnus myself, in addition to M25’s focus on startups in the Midwest, we couldn’t be happier about investing in this game-changing technology out of West Lafayette,” Mike Asem, M25 Founding Partner, said.

With all of the exciting innovation happening in the AAM industry, we are excited to be investing in Aerovy — a company that we believe can establish itself as a core piece of technological infrastructure that enables a generational shift in transportation and mobility.
